Seminar For Farmers Considering a 'Robotic Milking System'.
Mr Hobbis, who organises the ‘Robotic Dairy Discussion Group’, said: “Farmers now have the choice of several manufacturers of robotic milking systems, all offering something different. It is vital for producers when making such a large investment to choose the right system for their farming business. The course is designed to help them make this decision.”
The course programme covers building design and conversion for robots, cow traffic flow (free access, guided or routed), feeding strategies and grazing systems. National and International speakers on mastitis control and foot care in robotic systems are engaged to present their
expert knowledge to the deligates.
A visit to robotic dairy farm will be the closing part of the program, as will in-depth reviewing of the different manufacturers’ robotic milking machines and systems.
The seminars are held across the UK on three dates per year.
Each course is limited to 40 farmers.

Milking with Robots - Seminar Feedback
One day information and training seminars for farmers considering investing in robotic milking systems, run by South Gloucestershire independent dairy consultant Mike Hobbis.
Robotic scene changing rapidly The first ‘Planning for Robots’ seminar was held in Gloucestershire last month. Mike Green reports.
Substantial investment in robots changes lives Mike Green visited the fi rst dairy unit in Italy to have installed GEA’s MIone robotic milking system. He was very impressed as he reports here.
